Happy Hollidays!!!! Or Are They????

It's finally time! Time for snow, christmas trees, caroling, skating, menorahs (for the people who celebrate hannukah), and kinaras (for the people who celebrate kwanzaa). Now, as exciting as the holidays are, they can also be a very stressful time for everyone. Whether, it's buying presents, dealing with the cold, putting up with family (the in-laws can be a real pain ;]), or just anything difficult or frustrating in general. But the question on everyone's lips at this time of year is, "These are the holidays, shouldn't they happy and joyful? A time for giving and being with family and friends? If so, why are they so darn difficult." Well, the answer to that question is that people try too hard. Holidays are supposed to be a break, a time for those who just need something, not something big, not presents or money, but something wonderful. It could be anything from just having the day off work and spending it with family and/or friends, to just seeing everyone a little bit merrier and smiling at you when you walk by. I'm not trying to get all mushy here, I'm just trying to make a point. Do you ever walk down the street and see someone frowning, looking angry and maybe a little worried? It makes you think, "What are they thinking about, right now, that's making them so unhappy?" That then makes you think about all the things that could go wrong in life at this time of year. In short, all I'm trying to say is that when people see unhappy people, they become unhappy. So the next time you see a person looking upset or worried on the street, don't do anything, don't think, just smile and spread some joy. Remember as long as you have a little hope, a little happiness, and someone you love to help along the way, you'll be okay. Life is about the little things, which only, truly matter.

I'm sorry, this article is much longer than I meant to be. I guess I just got a little carried away! :)

So before I leave it for the night,

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!!

Love Always,

Your Friend,

Allison Aurora

I Hate Good-Byes

Today is a Friday and it's snowing like crazy. School was cancelled. It was cancelled last Friday too, the day I will never forget that changed my life forever. I never even got to say goodbye to my friends before I left. Which is why I am chosing to do it right now:

Dear Friends,

I have never met anyone in my whole life that made me as happy as you did. You brought out the fighter (Lizzy, Lynn, and Jessa), the little girl (Lexi & Dominique), the bad girl (Jersey & Honey lol), the silly, giggly girl (LOLA & DANIE), the chocolate-throwing-and-doing-snow-angels-in-wet-grass girl (Mickey & Brittany), the loud, yelling-I'm-a-ninja-in-public girl (Emma and Ashlyn), the smiling, I-just-learned-how-to-cook-pie-and-pretzels girl (Allana ;]), in me. There are sooooooooooooo many others who have helped me find my way and shown me the light, I don't even know what to say. But there is one other person in particular that I would not only like to mention, but NEED to mention.

Josh, you were the one who brought out the completely-and-helplessly-in-love girl in me.

I . LOVE . YOU . <3

Living The Perfect Life

Okay, so today was the first real, full day at my new school. I am ashamed. Everytime I move to a new town, I am so quiet and shy that everyone seems to think that is the real me. This week has been no dfferent. Nonetheless, I have made some really great friends. I just wish that they knew how outgoing I really can be. I guess in a week or two, once I'm comfortable, they'll find out. Living the life of a middle-schooler in a brand new state, town, and school, is not an easy task. But I'm not here to complain, so back to my favorite topic: LIFE!!!! MWA HA HA HA!!!!

Here, I want you to do something for me: Picture in your head what your idea of "the perfect life" is. What is it? Money? Fame? Love? Adventure? Alright, now picture your life in reality, the one that you are living right now. How does it differ from your fantasy life? Do you like the way your living? If not, how could you improve it?

Note: As there is no such thing as the perfect life, there is such thing as your perfect life.

Remember: You + Your Perfect Life = Happiness

Love,

Allison Aurora <3

P.S.

If you have any questions, ideas, requests, or comments, please feel free to let me know! :]

Standing Out

I, Allison, like to stand out. I like to be crazy, wild, and weird just for the sake of being different and I bet I'm not the only one with this lifestyle. I believe in living your life to the absolute fullest. Be daring, be bold, be crazy. Do what you like, like what you do. Isn't that what we all want and how we all want to be? This blog is going to be a place for me and others to write their views on life, death, and living it up, so tell me:

Are you living?
